It can give
advice on employment issues, as well as act as a conduit between employer and
employee in order to arrive at a settlement before a tribunal hearing. ACAS acts impartially and will
not try
to help one side over another. It is normally best to only inform ACAS of
information you are happy for the other side to know.
Equality & Human Rights Commission : A government established body amalgamating the Commissions dealing with Equality, Disability & Race. Only rarely on matters of public policy will they be prepared to conduct a tribunal case themselves for you.
